Cookie Dough Bites

I just got so excited when I remembered I had some of these Cookie Dough Bites in the fridge. Happy Saturday to me! I will admit that I am guilty of sneaking bites of dough before a batch of cookies goes in the oven. I would venture that you are, too.  I think about the raw egg, and kind of worry about it, but that dough just sings a siren song, ... view more

Cherry – Coconut Scones

I have a friend who always thinks I am playing a prank on her. It is comical to me at this point - it has been going on for over a decade. If you are having a small dinner party, place a few roasted heads of garlic around a warm baguette fresh out of ... view more

Saffron Orzo

Saffron Orzo by My Utensil Crock

Looking for an easy, different, and colorful side dish? Hello, Saffron Orzo! If you have not tried orzo, the texture is great - it looks like large grains of rice, but tastes like (and is) pasta. Super easy to make, too. If you have not tried saffron, it is fun for a change of pace. High-quality saffron can be very expensive, but I am happy ... view more

Oatmeal – Chocolate Chip Cookies

The good news here is the same as the bad news: You can always be 8-10 minutes away from warm oatmeal - chocolate chip cookies (which are, objectively, the best kind of cookie). The cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves will have your friends asking what that added depth is to the cookie - it is up to you whether you want to reveal the secret ingredients or ... view more
