Spinach Parmesan Cakes

I have said it before and will say it again: I usually do not get too fancy with my spinach. But I love the results when I do, so maybe it is time for a change! The results of this recipe surprised me in such a good way. I did not expect the ingredients to combine into something that tastes so complex and is so filling. It is one of those ... view more

Teriyaki Sirloin Kabobs

Saffron Orzo with Teriyaki Sirloin Kabobs by My Utensil Crock

This teriyaki recipe is delicious - salty and sweet, and so easy to make. I love making my own sauces and marinades because there are no fillers, just a few pure ingredients. Kabobs are simple to prepare and cook quickly, and are, like Shish Taouk - Chicken Kabobs, very versatile. Perfect for every occasion. Teriyaki Sirloin Kabobs   ... view more

I am sure, given my results, that it would be even more decadent with the ... view more

Green Goddess Dip

Is hummus on its way out? I feel like hummus is on its way out. I still love it, and imagine I will post a hummus recipe soon, but I feel like maybe we are turning a corner on the chickpea front. If so, you heard it here first. Enter: Green Goddess Dip. Just the name of it sounds luscious, no? If you are looking for something a little different ... view more

Chocolate-Cinnamon Oatmeal with Fresh Fruit

Until recently, if I was looking for a filling breakfast, I would have taken an egg sandwich over oatmeal any day. In my mind, all oatmeal was like the package of over-flavored, over-sugared cinnamon-apple instant stuff you hydrate with hot water from the office water cooler. Fine in a pinch, but not very satisfying. Enter: actual oatmeal. ... view more
