Chicken Burgers {Portobello, Edamame, Red Onion}

Chicken Burgers by My Utensil Crock

In this recipe, you make your own ground chicken. Are you both intrigued by, and skeptical of, that statement? I admit that I would have been, before I first processed my own meat. I promise you though: a food processor will make short work of chicken breasts; add a few mix-ins and you have a healthy, fast dinner with a complex taste. This ... view more

Spinach – Walnut Pesto

Traditional pesto is made with basil, garlic, parmesan reggiano, olive oil, and pine nuts - but there is nothing that says we can't mix that up a bit. This recipe looks long - which is dissuading to some - but you should think of it as: a lean meat, a few produce items, a few spices, and a few canned items. That does not ... view more

Cookie Dough Bites

I just got so excited when I remembered I had some of these Cookie Dough Bites in the fridge. Happy Saturday to me! I will admit that I am guilty of sneaking bites of dough before a batch of cookies goes in the oven. I would venture that you are, too.  I think about the raw egg, and kind of worry about it, but that dough just sings a siren song, ... view more

Oatmeal – Chocolate Chip Cookies

The good news here is the same as the bad news: You can always be 8-10 minutes away from warm oatmeal - chocolate chip cookies (which are, objectively, the best kind of cookie). The cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves will have your friends asking what that added depth is to the cookie - it is up to you whether you want to reveal the secret ingredients or ... view more
